Changing weather conditions force us to adjust our plans. Instead of heading directly to St. Martin, we divert to Guadeloupe to wait for more favorable weather. The shredded mainsail requires attention, and we attempt repairs with sail tape. Unfortunately, the damage is extensive, and we realize a new sail is inevitable. This unexpected expense adds a new dimension to our journey, forcing us to consider our options.
